Trade analysts predict that Maaveeran will cross Rs 100 crore at the end of the second week, making it Sivakarthikeyan’s third 100 crore grosser after Doctor and Don.

Maaveeran was initially slated to release on August 11, but was advanced to July 14 to avoid clash with Jailer.

 The film opened to a decent collection of Rs 37 crore on its first day with Rs 140 crore worldwide gross.

The film has also created a huge buzz in the international markets, especially in North America, and it has collected over 10 crores in Kerala alone.

Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Kerala  have all reported healthy box office returns for the flick.

The difference is small, but it demonstrates that Viduthalai - Part 1 was well received in the UK.
