Por Thozhil, the captivating Tamil crime thriller helmed by the talented debutant director Vignesh Raja, has astoundingly emerged as a delightful success at the box office. With its gripping narrative, the film has enthralled audiences and garnered widespread acclaim.

Leading the impressive ensemble cast are renowned actors R. Sarathkumar, Ashok Selvan, and Nikhila Vimal, who have delivered commendable performances. According to esteemed trade reports, Thozhil has gracefully amassed a staggering worldwide gross of over 50 crores.

The film has received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike for its gripping screenplay, realistic performances and technical excellence. The film’s title, which means “The Art of War”, is inspired by Subramania Bharati’s poem, Puthiya Aathi Chuvadi, which talks about the need for self-reliance and courage in the face of adversity.

To celebrate the success of the film, the makers held a press meet in Chennai on Friday, where they thanked the media and the fans for their support. The director, Vignesh Raja, said that he was overwhelmed by the response and that he wanted to make a film that would keep the viewers on the edge of their seats. He also praised his actors, especially Sarathkumar, who played the role of SP Loganathan with conviction and charisma.

The actors, Ashok Selvan and Nikhila Vimal, who played the roles of DSP trainee Prakash and technical assistant Veena respectively, said that they were happy to be part of such a well-made film and that they learned a lot from working with Sarathkumar and Vignesh Raja. They also thanked the producer, Sameer Nair of Applause Entertainment, for backing such a bold and unconventional project.
