The wait is over for the fans of Dhanush, the versatile actor and director who has won accolades for his performances in many films, to drop the new update on his next film. Today, at 6 PM, the makers of his upcoming film D50 will unveil the first look of the movie, which is the actor's second directorial.

The makers took to X, a popular social media platform, to share the news of the first look release. They wrote, “@dhanushkraja’s #D50FirstLook Today 6 PM ! #D50”. The fans are eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of their favourite star and his 50th film. D50 is expected to hit the screens later this year and create a new milestone in Dhanush’s illustrious career.

D50 is a special film for Dhanush, as it marks his 50th film as the lead actor. The film is also his second directorial venture after the critically acclaimed Pa Paandi (2017), which was a heartwarming tale of an ageing stuntman. D50 is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner Sun Pictures, which is known for backing big-budget films like Enthiran, Sarkar, and Petta.

The film boasts of an ensemble cast of talented actors, including S. J. Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Nithya Menen, Kalidas Jayaram, Aparna Balamurali, Anikha Surendran, Selvaraghavan, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. The genre and plot of the film are still under wraps, but the buzz is that it will be a thrilling and entertaining ride for the audience.

The film also has the musical genius of A. R. Rahman, who has composed the songs and background score. The cinematography and editing are handled by Om Prakash and Prasanna GK, respectively. The film was officially announced in January 2023 and the shooting was completed by December 2023 in Chennai.
