According to the Union Health Ministry, Tamil Nadu is the fourth Indian state after Maharashtra, Gurajat, and Delhi to report over 500 deaths.

The enhanced lockdown, second in a month, would apply for Chennai and areas that fall under the jurisdiction of Greater Chennai police in three districts.

On June 9, the state's death toll was at 307 and the state has added 172 deaths within a week putting the total death toll to 479.

The Tamil Nadu government has imposed a complete lockdown in Chennai and its three adjacent districts for 12 days from June 19 to June 30. 

The Union Health Ministry and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) hadn't issued any statement regarding the assertion of the ayurvedic company.

The sudden development has come days after the Tamil Nadu government has asserted that it has no plan to implement the enhanced lockdown in these four districts.

The fresh centers would accommodate the patients with moderate symptoms, letting the severely affected and vulnerable patients get admitted to the hospitals.

Monday's back to back meet to discuss the crisis has apparently signaled the possibilities some of the important decisions from the state government amid reeling through the rampant spread.
