Earlier, the movie was titled 'Nadhigalilae Neeradum Suriyan' and then it was changed to 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu'.

His last Tamil movie was 'Kadhal Virus', which was released in 2002. The movie has failed to garner the expected scale of the reception.

The online global concert has been organized by the United Singers Charitable Trust, which was established by reputed singers Srinivas to support the struggling musicians.

AR Rahman and his family had founded the charitable trust, AR Rahman Foundation, in 2009 with the aim of helping children from underprivileged communities through music, education, and leadership building.
