STR, GVM, and ARR join hands for the first time in five years: Here's the movie title and poster!

One of the most celebrating and potential trios of Kollywood is coming together again, for the first time in five years, to present another significant movie from their collaboration. Simbu, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and AR Rahman have joined hands after their last outing of Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada in 2016. The electrifying trio would be unveiling a treat to the audience within this year and on Friday, Gautham Vasudev Menon has released the first poster and the new title of the movie. 

Menon, one of the prominent directors of the Indian cinema, took to Twitter on Friday and announced the new title and revealed the first look poster of his upcoming movie with Simbu. Earlier, the movie was titled 'Nadhigalilae Neeradum Suriyan' and now the title has been changed as 'Vendu Thanindathu Kaadu'. The new poster has stirred predictions that the movie would be a drama-thriller most possibly speaking about deforestation. 

Simbu looks to be wounded and unkempt against the backdrop of a forest fire. Gautham Vasudev Menon wrote, "Here's the title and first look of the new film with Silambarasan, AR Rahman, Ishari Ganesh. Thank you to everybody who made this possible." Though he revealed the new title of the movie, he hasn't divulged the reason why the title has been changed. It has been expected that the rest of the crew will be announced soon. 

'Vendu Thanindathu Kaadu' will be produced by Ishari K Ganesh and Ashwin Kumar under the production banner of Vels Film International. AR Rahman will be composing music and the Oscar-winning music composer has previously worked with Simbu and Gautham Vasudev Menon in movies such as Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada. Earlier, the movie was titled 'Nadhigalilae Neeradum Suriyan' and the posters were unveiled on Simbu's birthday. 

Simbu was lastly seen in Suseenthiran's 'Eeswaran'. Produced by Balaji Kapa, the movie was released on January 14 in the theatres and now, it has been streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar since June 12. While Simbu played the leading role, Nidhhi Agarwal had played the female lead. Simbu is currently working in 'Maanaadu' directed by Venkat Prabhu. It is the first collaboration between Simbu and Venkat Prabhu. 

Maanaadu is produced by Suresh Kamatchi and the movie has inducted Kalyani Priyadarshan, Bharathiraja, SJ Suryah, Karunakaran, and Premgi Amaren in important roles while Yuvan Shankar Raja composes music. On the other hand, Gautham Vasudev Menon also had two projects in his kitty. He had directed a segment and acted in one in the Tamil anthology 'Navarasa' which was released today - August 6 on Netflix. Besides this, he has the projects of Dhurva Natchathiram and Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha.
