Thalaivar 170 stars Rajinikanth in lead role while Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan and popular stars including Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan are playing key roles.

Jason Sanjay, who had known for working in short films is ready to showcase his directorial skills and prove his mettle in the industry.

"I am glad that they liked my script, and have given me complete creative freedom to materialise it," said Jason.

They have also maintained a cordial relationship with each other, often praising each other’s work and exchanging pleasantries at public events.

The music will be composed by Aniruth Ravichander, who has given many hit songs for Ajith’s films in the past.

According to some sources, the shooting of the film is scheduled to commence in the second week of September, and will be completed in a single schedule.

The song is composed by M. M. Keeravani, who is making his comeback to Tamil cinema after 22 years. 

The poster shows Raghava in a royal attire, walking down the steps of a huge palace, with a devious look on his face.

Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for the film. ‘Vidaa Muyarchi’, which means ‘perseverance’ in Tamil, has the tagline ‘Efforts Never Fail’.

‘Thalaivar 170’ is said to be based on a true incident, and Rajinikanth will be seen playing the role of a Muslim police officer in the film. The film is expected to go on floors in May this year.
