Superstar Rajinikanth's big treat to the fans: Thalaivar 170 title is finally revealed as his birthday special!

In a way of delivering a big treat for the ardent fans of Superstar Rajinikanth, the makers of his upcoming project 'Thalaivar 170' has revealed the official title on the occasion of the icon's 73rd birthday. Rajinikanth has marked his birthday on Tuesday - December 12 and the millions of fans across and beyond the borders had grandly celebrated the occasion by distributing sweets. 

Rajinikanth, with a thumping victory of his previous film 'Jailer', is standing tall with an unhindered dominance in the Indian cinema and giving a new dimension to his stupendous career, he has opened doors for new directors, whose stories are immensely evolving the trend of Tamil cinema. After Jailer, Rajinikanth has a handful of projects including 'Lal Salaam', directed by his daughter Aishwarya and 'Thalaivar 170', helmed by 'Jai Bhim' fame TJ Gnanavel. 

Tentatively titled as Thalaivar 170, the project opened with a galore and has been getting built with an ensemble cast. Bankrolled by prominent producer Subaskaran under his banner Lyca Productions, Thalaivar 170 stars Rajinikanth in a lead role while Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan and popular stars including Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan are playing key roles in the project.

As per the visuals that went viral earlier, Rajinikanth will be shown in a different avatar and the developments around the movie have drawn a sharp attention among the fans. To unveil a big update on the occassion of Rajinikanth's birthday, the makers have decided to release the title and teaser on December 12. As expected, the title has finally been revealed and has taken the internet by storm. 

According to the makers, Thalaivar 170 has been titled 'Vettaiyan' and the title reveal video runs for a minute. The sources say that Rajinikanth is featuring as a retired army officer and the movie is a political thriller that revolves around his character. The movie will drive the fans with the themes like justice, patriotism, and power. 

Taking to the social media, Lyca Productions wrote, "The wait is over. Presenting the title of Thalaivar 170 - Vettaiyan. Unleashing Thalaivar's power, style & swag on his special day." While the music is composed by Anirudh, cinematography and editing have been done by SR Kathir and Philomin Raj respectively. The movie is expected to hit the threatres during the first-half of 2024.
