On Wednesday, Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian has inspected the city's first Covid-19 containment zone formed since lifting the lockdown restrictions during the second wave.

Tamil Nadu has recorded eleven fresh cases of the Omicron variant on Tuesday - December 28, which had taken the state's total tally to 45 so far.
