The Central government said that all the close contacts of these six persons have been put under quarantine and comprehensive contact tracing has been initiated for co-travelers, family contacts, and others.

According to the Southern Railway, the services during peak hours are only open to those who are attached to the essential services.

"I am feeling well and will rest up well so that I can be back at shoot soon. Request everyone who met me to kindly get yourself tested. Thank you and please stay safe", the actor tweeted.

Earlier, key world leaders including US President Donald Trump, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro had tested positive for the viral infection.

Union Health Ministry has said that Covaxin is a two-dose vaccine and that  Anil Vij was given only the first dose, which was administered to him two weeks before he tested positive for COVID-19.

While there were 104 COVID-19 cases as of Monday, IIT-M had witnessed 79 fresh cases on Tuesday, which had taken the total tally of 183 cases so far.

After knowing the development that Nadda had tested positive, many leaders including Union Ministers had wished him for a speedy recovery. 

Following Radikaa's tweet, Sarathkumar's daughter and actress Varalaxmi had also shared the news that the actor turned politician had spelled positive for the global pandemic.

Divya's mother has said that the actor was critical and on ventilator support. She was rushed to the hospital on November 26 and she was also suffering from pneumonia. 

According to the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), around 2.14 million people in India had got affected by the epidemic till 2017, which made India the third-largest population of persons affected by HIV/AIDS.
