Sparking controversy for yet another time, Karnataka BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel has taken the people aback with his comments on why Rahul Gandhi is not getting married.

By securing over 1 lakh votes, Elangovan has scripted a new milestone in the history of the Erode East constituency, which was formed in 2008.

It is pertinent to note that Elangovan has surpassed the margin kept by his son Thirumahan Everaa in the 2021 assembly polls from Erode East.

The new political game for Elangovan is to replace his deceased son Thirumahan Everaa as the Erode East MLA and to resume where he had left off. 

While the official result will be announced on Thursday afternoon, it is most likely that Elangovan will triumph the race and the Congress will retain its numbers in the assembly. 

It is pertinent to note that Rahul Gandhi will be visiting the UK after attending the Congress party's 85th plenary session in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
