Actor and leader of DMDK of Tamilnadu, Vijaykanth pleaded with the people to protect themselves from the rapid spreading of corona in recent times. The veteran actor and politician were recently admitted to the hospital for his health issues and returned home last Thursday after he gets recovery.

Signifying the recent spike of covid cases, Vijayakanth said the Tamil Nadu government should take serious action to control the spread of corona and create awareness among the people about the prevention of coronavirus.

Regarding this, President Vijayakanth of DMDK took to the Twitter and issued a statement that reads: -

"The number of people infected with the coronavirus has been increasing in Tamil Nadu in the last few days. Corona infection is picking up speed again, especially in various districts including Chennai, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu, and Coimbatore. Statistics show that one lakh people across the country are infected with corona. 

It is estimated that up to 2,000 people are infected with the virus every day. The public should take prudent measures as the spread of corona is increasing day by day. None of the public should go outside without wearing a mask.

Crowds should be avoided altogether and the social distance should be followed. The Tamil Nadu government should also take serious measures to control the spread of corona. We also need to create awareness among the people about the coronavirus prevention measures."

Actor and the founder and president, general secretary of the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) Political party, Vijaykanth has been battling from poor health for the last few years, and he was admitted to the Miot Hospital in Chennai recently. Subsequently, 3 fingers were amputated from Vijayakanth's right foot due to diabetic issues he had.
