A parent of a student in the 10th grade from a Scheduled Caste made a complaint, alleging that the student had experienced "extreme discrimination" at the hands of the school administration because of their caste.

On the day of event, May 22-23, 2018, the police were reported that based on orders issued by three deputy tasildars, which ended with the killing of 12 people on May 22 and another one on May 23.

Signifying the recent spike of covid cases, Vijayakanth said the Tamil Nadu government should take serious action to control the spread of corona and create awareness among the people about the prevention of coronavirus.
