Soorarai Pottru, after going through the episodes of challenges, was scheduled to get released directly on Amazon Prime Video on November 12, two days ahead of Diwali.

In what has become the Diwali gift for his fans, Soorarai Pottru will be one of the significant movies in Suriya's career and it has been the first big release in the Tamil cinema industry on the OTT platform.

As Soorarai Pottru is ready to take off, some of the reputed stars have been lauding and wishing Suriya for his movie and to get success. 

In what has become a surprise announcement, his video has been getting rampantly shared across social media as the fans are expressing their desire to watch the trailer.

Suriya said, "what pains me is how eagerly my well-wishers were waiting for this but we seem to have no other option. I personally hope that my well-wishers will take this in good spirit, with love and faith".

The Justices had noted that, "We find that the utterances by the actor may have been absolutely unnecessary or even unwarranted".

Soorarai Pottru will be getting released on Amazon Prime Video on October 30. Amazon said its subscribers can watch the movie in four languages- Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

From the public point of view, what we really miss from Suriya in the past few years is seeing him as the 'character' he plays, rather than seeing Suriya himself on the screen.

His response was penned days after Jyothika was criticized on her statement she made in an award function that held earlier this year.
