Muntashir Shukla’s apology comes after the Allahabad High Court’s observations on June 27, where it admonished the filmmakers for putting the tolerance of Hindus to test.
This adds more spice to the clash between the two films, as both have huge fan bases across India and abroad. Both the films are expected to release in multiple languages and create a new record at the box office.
The film, which is inspired by the Hindu epic Ramayana, has faced objections from various groups for its depiction of Lord Ram, Lakshman, Sita and Ravana.
