Tamil Nadu BJP President L Murugan will be becoming the Union Minister. He has been serving as the state president for over a year and now he has got a ticket to exercise national politics.

On Wednesday, two other Union Ministers - Ramesh Pokhriyal and Santhosh Gangwar had also tendered their resignations and both of them had cited health reasons. 

The Prime Minister has tabled hectic meetings with the leaders close to his circle to give final touches to the cabinet expansion.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has now turned his eye towards the former semi-autonomous state in his drive to restore democracy and materialize the measures to conduct the elections.
