Merry Christmas is a crime thriller that revolves around a mysterious murder that takes place on Christmas Eve.

Sethupathi has played some memorable villain roles in the past, such as in Master opposite Thalapathy Vijay, Vikram opposite Kamal Haasan, Uppena, Pettai, and Jawan opposite Shah Rukh Khan.

The film has garnered buzz due to the differences between the Tamil and Hindi versions of the trailer, which have subtle variations in the scenes and the dialogues.

The Tamil version has Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams in the same roles.
