The new year is going to be a merry one for the fans of Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif, as their much-awaited film ‘Merry Christmas’ is all set to release worldwide on January 12, 2024. The makers of the film have announced the release date with a new poster featuring the lead pair in a romantic yet mysterious pose.

‘Merry Christmas’ is a thriller-comedy directed by Sriram Raghavan, who is known for his acclaimed films like ‘Andhadhun’ and ‘Badlapur’. The film also stars Radhika Sarathkumar, Sanjay Kapoor, Tinu Anand, Radhika Apte and others in pivotal roles. The film is made as a bilingual in Tamil and Hindi, with the Tamil version being distributed by Lyca Productions.

“We have made this film with a lot of love and passion, like every filmmaker does. However, with back-to-back movie releases and packed last two months of 2023, we have taken the decision to bring our film to theatres on 12 Jan 2024”, the official statement reads.

The film is expected to be a roller-coaster ride of twists and turns, with Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif playing characters with dark secrets. The film also promises to have some catchy songs composed by Amit Trivedi and Pritam. 

‘Merry Christmas’ is one of the most anticipated films of 2023, as it marks the first collaboration between Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif, who are both known for their versatility roles. The film also marks the debut of Sriram Raghavan in Tamil cinema, and fourth Hindi release for Vijay Sethupathi after Farzi, Mumbaikaar, and Jawan.
