‘Arunachalam VS Chithra’ was one of the most anticipated films in Kollywood as it brought together two of the most sensational filmmaker cum actor in the South.

Celebrating the milestone and perhaps a significant breakthrough for the crew, the movie team is relishing the success after encountering several setbacks.

Popular director Venkat Prabhu, who is known for the action commercial Mangatha, Chennai 68, and Maanaadu, is filming his first bilingual project with Telugu's top star Naga Chaitanya.

Turning heads and massive attention from the market, Maanaadu has successfully joined the club of Tamil movies that earned over 100 crores at the box office. 

Thanks to the distinct storyline and the cast that have been fueling the movie on the competitive track.

With the success of Maanaadu, Simbu is busy with several projects and currently, he is in outing with Gautham Vasudev Menon's 'Venduthaninthathu Kaadu' and Obeli N Krishna's 'Pathu Thala'.

Simbu has various projects in his kitty and the Kollywood is buzzed up with a toss of Simbu's unification with a popular director for his next project. 

Vels University has decided to honour Simbu with a doctorate for his distinguished excellence in the field of cinema.

Simbu was awarded the honorary doctorate by Vels University in Chennai and the actor was one among the three recipients of the honour.
