Actor Simbu's selfie celebration as Maanaadu hits 100 days...Fans relish the feat and pics go viral!

The ardent fans of Simbu had a glorious moment on Friday - March 4 as the actor's blockbuster movie 'Maanaadu' has successfully hit 100 days on the big screens and running with no whammies. Thanks to the distinct storyline and the cast that have been fueling the movie on the competitive track. Maanaadu is one of the significant movies of 2021 and has a vital contribution to the revival of cinema halls and theatres. 

The movie has also given a remarkable comeback for actor Simbu and opened gates for new age markets. Maanaadu took twists and turns ahead of the release with more setbacks and controversies. There were several deferments for release and finally, it was released on November 25, 2021. The movie was made on the budget of around 50 crores and though it was released on the Sony Liv OTT platform later, the theatrical run didn't get disturbed and it has now marked 100 days. 

Actor Simbu has celebrated the feat with the fans in a theatre in Chennai. He clicked a selfie with his fans as they rejoice in the feat. Simbu took to Twitter and shared the picture that has been going viral. Several fans have been sharing that picture and wishing the actor on achieving the 100-day milestone. It has been reported that Simbu had watched a special screening of Maanaadu with his fans to mark the special event. 

Simbu was joined by his friend and co-actor in Maanaadu, Mahat. Maanaadu is a science fiction action thriller film written and directed by Venkat Prabhu. The movie was bankrolled by Suresh Kamatchi under the banner of V Productions and while Simbu played the lead role, SJ Suryah, Kalyani Priyadarshan, SA Chandrasekhar, YG Mahendran, Vagai Chandrasekhar, Premgi Amaren, Karunakaran, Subbu Panchu, and Aravind Akash played the important roles.

Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music while Richard Nathan and Praveen KL had done cinematography and editing respectively. The film has garnered massive reception from across and beyond the borders and earned highly positive reviews from critics with commendations for Simbu and SJ Suryah for their role in driving the movie on the screen. Being tagged as one of the best Tamil films in 2021, Maanaadu has collected over Rs 100 crore and was commercially successful at the box office. Now, it has touched yet another milestone as the movie team is relishing Maanaadu's successful journey.
