49-year-old Ganga Nayak has won the Councillor seat in Vellore and her victory has cast a huge representation of the trans community across the state.

The development comes when the ADMK has been bracing up a debacle in the local body polls after the ruling DMK has secured a comfortable sweep across the state. 

The wave of support for MK Stalin is clearly visible across Tamil Nadu that no opposition party has come close to the DMK in the majority of seats. 

The opposition party is witnessing yet another magnificent victory of the DMK, which is all set to reign the local bodies including the ADMK's stronghold.

DMK is marching towards a magnificent victory and as of 11.30 am, the party has been leading in more than 70% of the entire urban local bodies in the state. 

The events that unfolded on Monday had become a spear for the opposition parties to attack the ruling DMK and the police for what they called the arrest due to political vendetta. 

A senior police officer said that they had got clues about the accused and the motive for the murder can be established only after their arrest and investigation. 

Their understanding was in the capability of withdrawing the candidate against each other to secure a hassle-free victory.

Sources close to these leaders have divulged that both of them may bid adieu to the party after the results of the urban local body polls.

Chennai's unit for the Bureau of Immigration has said that Stefan Negoita's action was not as per his intended purpose of visit and it amounts to visa violation.
