It must be noted that four days ago, on May 27, the NCB has filed its charge sheet in the drug case in which Aryan Khan's name was not included. 

It is pertinent to note that Aryan Khan was arrested in the case by the NCB on October 3, 2021, and he was later released from jail later that month after being granted bail. 

By awarding the bail, the Bombay High Court had imposed 14 bail conditions on Aryan Khan and his co-accused in the case, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha.

Besides searching Shah Rukh Khan's residence, the NCB officials had also conducted searches in the residence of actor Ananya Pandey in connection to the drugs case.

They were arrested on October 2 and Aryan Khan was lodged in the Arthur road jail on October 8. His battle for getting bail has been going in vain as his bail pleas were rejected several times.

After the hearing, the Magistrate Court Justice RM Nerlikar had denied bail for Aryan Khan and others by stating that the plea is not maintainable.

Soon after the court had awarded 14-day custody, Aryan's lawyer Maneshinde had moved a bail petition, seeking bail for Aryan.

The Khans battle to secure a bail to avoid custody was met with failure as a Mumbai court on Monday awarded judicial custody for Aryan Khan.
