In the wake of Lokesh Kanagaraj's successful red carpet welcome for Vikram starring Kamal Hassan, the internet was once again dominated by his latest project, Thalapathy 67. Now the producer of the film has made an official announcement about the film, and word of it has been growing quickly across social networks, and fans rejoice in the latest development in the midst of the film's firing trend.

Lokesh Kanagaraj already stated in interviews that after the release of Vijay's Varisu, fans will get the back to back updates. Hence the fans are in more than exciting phase eyeing for the official updates on the sensational project. In an recent public event, Lalith Kumar of Seven Screen Studios, who bankrolling the Vijay's next Thalapathy 67 addressed the media and confirmed that the official update regarding the film which will be made in ten days.

He said, "Just wait for 10days, you all will get the required #Thalapathy67 update." Speculative reports also have that Ajith and Vignesh Shivan's AK62, which may also release on the same day as Thalapathy67, will pit the two actors against one another at the box office once again after their previous competition in Varisu and Thunivu.

The role of Gautham Menon and Mysskin has already been confirmed, while the ensemble stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Bigg Boss Janani, and Arjun Sarja has been much speculated about. According to the producer's statement, the only confirmation will come from the production house and it is expected to happen in a week.

Ratnakumar wrote the screenplay for this 7 Screen Studios production, which will also feature music composed by Anirudh.
