Finally, the production team and, to everyone's surprise, Lokesh Kanagaraj have released an official update for Thalapathy67 along with a photo of Thalapathy Vijay, which has set social media ablaze. The director has said in the past that he cannot provide an official update until the production company makes the announcement. Fans' day was made when the words were released from the film's banner, just as promised.

Taking to Twitter on evening hours of Monday, Seven Screen Studio of Lalit Kumar shared a official poster along with a press release. They wrote, "The one & the only brand #Thalapathy67, is proudly presented by @7screenstudio We are excited in officially bringing you the announcement of our most prestigious project We are delighted to collaborate with #Thalapathy @actorvijay sir, for the third time. @Dir_Lokesh"

The press release reads, "7 Screen Studio is excited in officially bringing you the announcement of our prestigious project. Following the blockbuster success of Master and Varisu, we are delighted and proud to collaborate with Thalapathy Vijay sir, for the third time. The project, tentatively titled ‘Thalapathy 67’, is directed by the ‘master’ craftsman Lokesh Kanagaraj, produced by S S Lalit Kumar and Co-produced by Jagadish Palanisamy. The shoot commenced on 2nd January, 2023 and is progressing at a brisk pace,"

The statement further added, "Besides delivering the chartbuster albums in Kaththi, Master and Beast, ‘Thalapathy 67’ will be Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander’s fourth association with Thalapathy Vijay sir. Following are the technical crew details of ‘Thalapathy 67’, DOP - Manoj Paramahamsa, Action - Anbariv, Editing - Philomin Raj, Art - N. Sathees Kumar, Choreography - Dinesh, Dialogue writers - Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rathna Kumar & Deeraj Vaidy, Executive Producer - Ramkumar Balasubramanian. Further details regarding the cast and crew of ‘Thalapathy 67’, will be announced soon. We seek all your blessings, wishes and support for Thalapathy67. With love, Team Thalapathy67"

Lokesh Kanagaraj also shared a signature picture of this Master combo and fans go agog with the words he shared, "Good evening guys! More than happy to join hands with @actorvijay na once again #Thalapathy67". All the fans' likes are going to the photo of the director and actor striking a Master pose together.

However the technical crew was officially announced in the press release, the official deets on cast and crew will be made an another annoucement in first week of February. Eventhough Gowtham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, and Mansoor Ali Khan, Manobala has already confirmed their parts. And Arjun Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, Prithviraj Sukumaran are still in insiders reports.  This is the third collaboration between Vijay and producer Lalit Kumar after 'Master',  'Varisu' and now 'Thalapathy 67'.
