Along the way, they encounter a host of colourful characters, including Rakul Preet Singh,  Yogi Babu, Sharad Kelkar, Karunakaran and Isha Koppikar.

Rathnam is expected to be a grand comeback for Vishal in rural actioner, who was last seen in the 2023 film Mark Antony,

The film is also expected to have a cameo appearance by Kamal Haasan himself, which will be a treat for the audience. 

The film was officially announced on Ajith’s 52nd birthday on May 1, 2023, with a title poster.

Kamal Haasan steps into the shoes of Rangaraya Sakthivel Nayakar from Kayalpattinam, a character etched with destiny as a criminal, thug, and Yakuza. 

The film promises to be a fun-filled ride with a lot of twists and turns, as Balaji faces various hurdles and conflicts in his personal and professional life.

The film’s title, LIC, has sparked curiosity among fans, as it is also the acronym of the popular Life Insurance Corporation of India.

The film is based on the controversial period of the Emergency, which was declared by Indira Gandhi in 1975 and lasted for 21 months.

The film has two interesting cameos, one by Superstar Rajinikanth, who plays a mentor to the brothers, and another by former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev, who plays himself in a crucial scene.
