The wait is over for the fans of Mari Selvaraj, Udhayanidhi Stalin and Keerthy Suresh. The makers of their upcoming political thriller ‘Maamannan’ is coming to theatres soon. Now the makers have announced that the lyric video of the song ‘Kodi Parakura Kaalam’ will be released today at 6 pm.
The song, created by AR Rahman, is anticipated to be a commercial success since it would highlight Udhayanidhi's bravery qualities. ‘Maamannan’, which means ‘Emperor’, is the third film of director Mari Selvaraj after the critically acclaimed ‘Pariyerum Perumal’ and ‘Karnan’. The film features Udhayanidhi Stalin as Raasa Kannu, a man who fights against the oppression of a powerful politician, played by Fahadh Faasil.
Keerthy Suresh plays a journalist who supports Raasa Kannu’s cause. Vadivelu makes a comeback to Tamil cinema with this film, playing the titular role of a mentor and protector of Udhayanidhi Stalin, as per reports. The film is produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin under his banner Red Giant Movies and is slated to release in June 2023.
The film’s trailer and audio were launched in a grand event on June 1, with many celebrities and fans attending the show. The trailer has received positive reviews from the audience and critics alike, who praised the film’s intense visuals, gripping narration and powerful performances.
‘Maamannan’ is one of the most anticipated films of 2023 and promises to be a riveting drama that explores the themes of caste, politics and social justice.
