The world has been raving about Ajtih's latest film Thunivu, directed by H.Vinoth. It's safe to say that Ajith Kumar's latest film, Thunivu, has once again infused the world with the actor's charm. Fans in a fury are cramming theatres to only see their favourite actor's strike on screen. Now everyone was wondering what Vignesh Shivan's next project would be with Ajith, which the shooting of the film is said to begin in May.

Ajith Kumar's next AK62 with Vignesh Shivan will go on floors later this month in Mumbai, according to earlier reports. The latest buzz is that the makers are in talks with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. It is speculated that Aishwarya will be roped in to play the female lead. However, it is not officially confirmed yet. The Bollywood queen lastly seen in Maniratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan 1.

The last time Ajith and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan worked together was in Rajiv Menon's 2000 film Kandukonden Kandukonden. If the rumours about the duo getting back together are true, this will be their second movie together after 23 years. Already, reports have indicated that the film will be a feel-good drama for the actor, given the director's track record in the genre.

The rumour mill had it that Ajith would play a social drama an organic farmer who takes on the corporate food giants in an effort to feed the people. Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights of the film, which was officially announced on it's social media handle. They wrote, "We tried to stay CHILLA CHILLA but we just CANNOT! #AK62 is coming on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada as a post theatrical release! "

Also, there's buzz that Dhanush has been cast as the film's main antagonist, and that he'll be a bad guy. AK 62 is being produced under the banner of Lyca Productions, headed by G.K.M. Tamil Kumaran, and Anirudh will be composing the music, which will be his third film with the actor after Vivegam, and Vedhalam. According to strong speculations, as like Thunivu and Varisu, AK62 will be released in competition with Thalapathy 67 which will be released during the upcoming Diwali festival.
