Thalaivar 171 Update: It's confirmed! Superstar Rajinikanth to do a film with TJ Gnanavel.... What we can expect from the actor's role?

Rajinikanth is presently filming for his upcoming film Jailer in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff has also joined the sets of Jailer recently. This is the first time that Rajinikanth and Jackie Shroff have worked together in the film industry in over three decades. In the meantime, the most recent sources say that Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel's film with Rajinikanth will most likely take up as it confirmed.

With Lyca Productions, Rajinikanth has committed to two films. Lal Salaam, directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, is one of the two. Although Rajinikanth will have a significant role in the film, the leads are Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth. TJ Gnanavel, who directed Jai Bhim, is the other for Thalaivar 171. According to recent reports, this movie will include a Superstar in a police role, and it will be a powerful social drama.

The source from the Kollywood states that the work for the pre-production phase has already begun. It's a really powerful movie that manages to capture the spirit of Jai Bhim. "The movie is going to be based on a real-life event, and the superstar will be playing the role of a Muslim officer in the police force in the film." Moondru Mugam, Kodi Parakuthu, Nattuku Oru Nallavan, Phool Bane Angarey, Hum, and most recently Darbar are just a few of the films in which Rajini has played a police officer.

Sources indicate that in "Thalaivar 171", he will play a more profound character which will be so massive they will give his admirers the chills. The actor is currently busy with Jailer directed by Nelson Dhilipkumar, while the film also has Shivarajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, and Vinayakan among others in crucial roles. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music, and the flick is being made at a budget of Rs 100 crore. The film is presumably will have its theatrical debut in 11th August 2023 which may possibly to clash with Kamal Hassan's Indian 2.
