The upcoming film Thalaivar171 has created a buzz in the industry with its unconventional story and casting choices. The film, which is directed by the talented Lokesh Kanagaraj, features the Superstar Rajinikanth in a never-seen-before avatar.

The director revealed that he was overjoyed when Rajinikanth agreed to be a part of his vision after listening to his narration. He said that Rajinikanth hugged him and praised him, saying, “Kalakitta kanna.” The director also shared that the film will have a unique collaboration with some of the finest writers from the Malayalam cinema, who will contribute to the screenplay and dialogues.

He said that this would add more depth and richness to the story, which is full of innovation and freshness. He also mentioned that Anirudh, the music composer of the film, was present during the narration and was equally impressed by the plot.

He said that Anirudh and Rajinikanth share a great rapport and are looking forward to creating some magical tunes for the film. Thalaivar171 is a standalone film that does not belong to any franchise or sequel. It is a milestone project for both the director and the actor, who are known for their excellence and versatility.

The film is expected to be released in 2024 and will surely be a treat for the fans of both Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj. The director's next Leo is coming to theatres on 19th October 2023, where Vijay,  Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Priya Anand, Arjun, and Mansoor Ali Khan. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is produced by Lalit Kumar and co-produced by Jagadish Palanisamy under the banner of Seven Screen Studio
