The searches at the residences of the NTK functionaries have come when the party is beefing up its campaign for the upcoming  Lok Sabha elections. 

The film features Pradeep Ranganathan, Krithi Shetty and SJ Suryah in the lead roles.

"Four  injured persons belong to the DMK and the other four are from the NTK. We are investigating," the police official added.

As NTK has secured 10,021 votes and finished third in the race in the 2021 assembly polls in Erode East, the party hopes to be a competitive contender in the upcoming bypoll.

Currently, the BJP is in the ADMK alliance and recently, the leaders from both the parties asserted that their alliance will remain intact during the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. 

Seeman's comments have come a day after Udhayanidhi had asked the party units to avoid passing resolutions to make him a minister.
