Rajinikanth said, "His loss is irreplaceable for the Kannada film industry. I am left with no words to console his family members who are grieving over his loss. May Puneeth Rajkumar's soul rest in peace."

Shockingly, some of the fans are ending their lives while some had died of cardiac arrest after hearing the death of the actor.

Surya further said, "I pray for more strength to his family, his daughters, fans, and all the Kannadigas. I will terribly miss him. My prayers and deepest condolences to his family."

His eyes were collected by Narayana Nethralaya and the reports say that each eye of the deceased actor was used to treat two patients, which has become an unprecedented fashion.
