The film, which was officially announced recently, will be directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by AGS Entertainment.

Pradeep Ranganathan and Vignesh Shivan, whose previous work includes a variety of family dramas and contemporary ray, make a great team behind the camera for the upcoming science fiction romantic comedy film. 

Nayanthara has previously worked with Vignesh Shivan on two films, namely Nanum Rowdy Than and Kaathuvaakula Rendu kadhal, both of which were big hits at the box office.

Sources also suggest that the duo's upcoming movie will be produced by none other than the legendary Kamal Haasan himself.

While Ivana played the opposite to the actor in origin Tamil version, where Sathyaraj, Radhika Sarathkumar, Raveena, and Yogi Babu played the crucial supporting roles.

The filmmaker Gokul also helmed Kashmora with Karthi in the lead, and he also finished Singapore Saloon in the mean time which starred RJ Balaji.

After wrapping up production on Jailer, rumour has it that Rajinikanth has already signed on to star in two more films for Lyca productions.

The rumours also reported earlier that popular Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan  to play the lead in the remake, and his father and popular director David Dhawan to direct the film.

In Tamil, AGS Entertainment of Kalpathi S Aghoram bankrolled the film, where the post theatrical streaming rights were brought and released by Netflix.

A news from Rajinikanth's 171st film is doing the rounds on social media that Pradeep Ranganathan is being promoted to direct the film, after Cibi Chakravarthi been dropped from the project.
