From his current collaboration with Nelson Dhilipkumar on Jailer to his rumoured upcoming collaboration with Pradeep Ranganathan, Aishwarya Rajinikanth, and P. Vaasu, Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming projects are captivating and look promising. The latest buzz suggests that the legendary actor made an amazing impact on the widely praised director's script. Though Desingh Periyasamy of Kannum Kannum Kollaiadithaal fame, and Cibi Chakravarthy of Don fame, were rumoured to be in the working to direct the actor, it now has seemed that plans have shifted.

After wrapping up production on Jailer, there are rumours that Rajinikanth has already agreed to star in two more films for Lyca Productions. Both of these films are expected to be released in the near future. Recent rumours suggest that he impressed with the script of the director of Jai Bhim, TJ Gnanavel and that he found it to be satisfactory. It has not been verified in any official manner whatsoever.

Meanwhile, Gnanavel was supposed to be filming his first film in Hindi, Dosa King, based on the lives of Saravana Bhavan's late founders P Rajagopal and Jeevajothi, after the success of Jai Bhim.

Nelson's Jailer, on the other hand, is expected to debut in time for Tamil New Year or in June. Shiva Produced by Sun Pictures, this film will feature Raj Kumar, Mohanlal, and Rajinikanth, three of the biggest stars in their respective fields. According to sources, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal recently shot his scenes with Rajinikanth in Chennai yesterday on January 8 and remaining will be done today. In Jailer, Rajinikanth will be portaying the role of Muthuvel Pandian, a tough prison guard. Aniruth is in charge of music.
