Though the government has blocked the 100% seating capacity, it has permitted the theaters and multiplexes to screen additional shows along with the usual schedule. 

"The pandemic isn’t over and we have people dying till today to the disease. A hundred percent theatre occupancy is a suicide attempt", Dr. Srinivas penned.

The minister said that the fund which had gone from the government as the Pongal gift would return back to the government through TASMAC liquor shops.

Silambarasan took to Twitter and thanked Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami for paying heed to their demand and allowing the 100% seating capacity. 

The order has also come ten days ahead of the Pongal festival and while it has relished the fans of Vijay, it also had rejoiced the fans of Silambarasan as his movie 'Easwaran' is also going to release during Pongal.

Days ahead of the release, Twitter has now released Vijay's Emoji, which has been dedicated to the movie.

'Master' would be one of the crucial Tamil movies to get released on the big screens next year and the release has been expected to give a potential breakthrough to the theaters as they seek the revival from the lockdown.

The official announcement concerning the release is expected to be unveiled soon and the latest reports say that the ticket bookings for 'Master' will begin from January 7.
