Instead of apologizing for his offensive comments, Khan decided to sue Trisha and others for defamation, claiming that they had taken his “joke” out of context and tarnished his reputation.

The controversy stemmed when Mansoor, who played a brief role in Vijay's last release ‘Leo’, said that he did not share screen space with Trisha, the heroine of the film.

Some are also questioning his motive and credibility behind his apology.

The controversy stems from Khan's recent comments during a press interaction, where he claimed not to have shared screen space with Trisha in the movie 'Leo' and made sexist remarks against her.

He was directly taken to the ICU and kept under medical support and it has been expected that the hospital will release an official statement concerning his health condition on Monday evening.

The counsel representing Mansoor Ali Khan had said that the statement made by the actor at the entrance of the private hospital was due to an emotional outburst and was never intended to hurt anyone.
