Actor Mansoor Ali Khan is hospitalized in Chennai...Gets treated in ICU! Here's what happened!

Veteran Tamil actor Mansoor Ali Khan has on Monday rushed to a private hospital in Chennai after he complained of renal discomfort. The actor has been suffering from kidney stones and he has been getting treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He will be undergoing surgery soon. 

According to reports, 59-year-old Mansoor Ali Khan has been hospitalized at a private hospital in Aminjikarai, Chennai after attaining a setback in his health condition. He had developed a major kidney stone and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. The actor was tested for the COVID-19 viral infection and the doctors are making arrangements for surgery. 

He was directly taken to the ICU and kept under medical support and it has been expected that the hospital will release an official statement concerning his health condition on Monday evening. Mansoor Ali Khan is a prominent actor in the Tamil cinema industry and he had often played in antagonist roles and a few lead roles. He has been active since 1990. 

He was last seen in the Tamil movie 'Jackpot' starred by Jyothika and Revathy which released in 2019. Apart from appearing in cinema,  Mansoor Ali Khan is also active in politics, and in the recently-held Tamil Nadu assembly polls, he had contested in the Thondamuthur assembly constituency in Coimbatore as an independent candidate and he also has launched a new political party recently.  

Mansoor Ali Khan had caught up with controversy recently after slamming the Tamil Nadu government for inoculating the COVID-19 vaccine for Actor Vivekh in Chennai. Vivekh had admitted to the hospital one day after receiving the vaccine and he then passed away due to cardiac arrest. The government has asserted that the vaccine is not the reason for Vivekh's demise. 

However, Mansoor Ali Khan had castigated the government and voiced against the vaccination. The health department had filed a case against the actor for sharing false information under serious sections. Later, Mansoor Ali Khan had moved his anticipatory bail petition to the Madras High Court and the court had granted him bail with the condition of paying Rs 2 lakh to the government to procure the COVID-19 vaccine.
