Among the appointments are the sons of Indian billionaires - Karan Adani, the son of India's richest man Gautam Adani and Anant Ambani, the son of India's second-richest man Mukesh Ambani. 

The police have arrested Sheezan on the charge of abetting her suicide in Maharashtra's Palghar district and later, he was sent to a four-day police custody.

The surprise development has drawn huge attention and with the backing from the BJP MLAs, Shinde is all set to become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the first time.

The development has come when the Union government has written to several states including Maharashtra over a rise in Covid cases. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced compensation for the families of the victims and expressed his condolences to the deceased. 

It must be noted that recently, a BJP MLA in Maharashtra has announced that the party will write 75,000 letters to the Chief Minister to remind him of the year of Indian Independence.
