The scam was allegedly unfolded with the involvement of officials and it had happened under the guise of allotting beds for the COVID-19 affected patients.

The reports say that based on the request, Sasikala would be shifted to Manipal Hospital for higher treatments on Friday as she has been battling the COVID-19 pandemic.
Addressing the media on Friday, the Superintendent of Victoria Hospital claimed that Sasikala has been doing stable and responding well to the treatments.
The plant is run by a Taiwan-based company and it manufactures iPhones. Along with iPhones, Wistron also manufactures IT products for Lenovo and Microsoft.
The human rights watchdog said, "This is the latest in the incessant witch-hunt of human rights organizations by the Government of India over unfounded and motivated allegations".
