Netflix decided to take down the film from their platform on January 10, 2024. The film was no longer available for streaming on Netflix India.

He has also alleged that the film has a scene where actor Jai, who plays Nayanthara’s love interest, says that Lord Ram is a meat eater, which is contrary to the Hindu scriptures.

She joins a prestigious culinary school but faces opposition from her family, who is a strict orthodox vegetarian.

However, her aspirations set their sights on the culinary realm, propelling her to pursue a career as a chef against her parents' traditional beliefs.

The unveiling came with a tantalizing teaser, where Nayanthara was depicted as a homely girl who belongs to an orthodox family, but her cravings have a special story. 

The film, which is set in the 1980s, revolves around the lives of five friends who get involved in politics and crime in Madurai.

The title of Thalapathy 68 is still under wraps, but Venkat Prabhu has teased that it will be a fiery one. He has also said that he is working hard on the script and the casting of the film.

The film showcases the friendship, love, betrayal and revenge among the characters in a realistic and gripping manner.

The film, which will be helmed by the master of entertainment Venkat Prabhu and bankrolled by the prestigious AGS Entertainment, will have the musical magic of Yuvan Shankar Raja.

The yet-to-be-titled film will be directed by Nilesh Krishnaa, a former assistant of the acclaimed director Shankar.
