Thalapathy Vijay, is ready to take on a new challenge in his next film, Thalapathy68 with Venkat Prabhu which is yet to be titled. The actor recently headed for a vacation, said to be signing off from the Kollywood, before stepping up for political party. So all the eyes for the actor's crucial final films and anticipating for what he has in the store.

As per the tinseltown latest sources, the veteran actor will don the role of a senior CBI head officer who leads a team of criminal investigators. He will also share screen space with actor Jai, who will play his brother and partner in crime-solving. However it is not yet confirmed, but fans are hoping for a update from the director, as he recently confirmed that the announcement of Thalapathy68 will be out very soon.

The film, which is tentatively called Thalapathy 68, will be helmed by Venkat Prabhu, the master of quirky and stylish entertainers. The film will be produced by AGS Entertainment, the banner that gave us the mega-hit Bigil. The film will also mark the 25th milestone of AGS Entertainment and the maiden collaboration of Vijay and Venkat Prabhu. The young maestro Yuvan Shankar Raja will score the tunes for the film.

The title of Thalapathy 68 is still under wraps, but Venkat Prabhu has teased that it will be a fiery one. He has also said that he is working hard on the script and the casting of the film. The film is slated to hit the screens in 2024, after Vijay wraps up his current project Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Leo is another action-packed thriller that stars Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Priya Anand, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan and Anurag Kashyap. The film is set to release on October 19 this year. 

Thalapathy 68 is one of the most awaited films of Vijay and his fans are eagerly waiting for more updates on the project. The film is expected to showcase Vijay in a new avatar and a challenging role. It will also be interesting to see how Venkat Prabhu brings out the best of Vijay’s acting chops and his unique signature in the town.
