Udhayanidhi Stalin was speaking at a protest organized by DMK's youth and student wings against the recommendations of Union Home Minister Amit Shah-led committee of parliament on official language.
Earlier on Tuesday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin spoke out against the linguistic oppression. He cited the recommendation as a direct onslaught on India's soul.
Though the policy recommends a three-language system, the minister said that the state government has been resolute in implementing a two-language system.
