Udhayanidhi Stalin had issued a challenge to the Income Tax department to conduct a raid at his residence. He had put out his address and asked the IT sleuths to come to his residence.
DMK General Secretary Duraimurugan said, "The IT officials are involved in the searches with the politically motivated agenda during the election time."
The back-to-back raid shows unveiled by IT have been occupying the political spotlight amid heated political campaigns of the leaders in the wake of the assembly polls.
The report had shown that both the ADMK and DMK are in the position that they can't convince the voters when it comes to the promises of reducing crime in the state.
The Commission has also castigated the DMK leader for his remarks against the Chief Minister and the electoral body has also removed Raja from the list of DMK's star campaigners.
Criticism against Raja has been growing with the demand to place an apology and the Chennai police had booked him under three sections of the Indian Penal Code.
He had recently campaigned in Tuticorin during which he strongly slammed the Center and state governments over failing to establish AIIMS Hospital in Madurai.
When IT sleuths entered Velu residences to conduct the search, Stalin had entered Thiruvannamalai to campaign for Velu and to seek the voters to elect him as their representative.
