BJP member files complaint against Udhayanidhi Stalin for heisting the brick from AIIMS Madurai!

Days after DMK's Udhayanidhi Stalin had given a big blow to the BJP-ADMK alliance over the government's apathy in constructing the AIIMS Hospital in Madurai, a BJP member in Tamil Nadu had filed a police complaint against the DMK's Youth Wing secretary for allegedly heisting the brick from the campus of the yet-to-be-built hospital.

Udhayanidhi Stalin is all set to face his first legislative election as he will be contesting in the Chepauk-Triplicane constituency in Chennai in the upcoming polls. Apart from being DMK's candidate, Udhayandhi Stalin has become one of the star campaigners for the party and he has been campaigning across the state for the DMK candidates. In line with that, he had recently campaigned in several southern districts during which he strongly slammed the Center and state governments over failing to establish AIIMS Hospital in Madurai.

Three years back, the Central government had announced that it will establish AIIMS in Madurai, the first branch of the top hospital in Tamil Nadu. However, the announcement didn't progress further except laying the foundation stone and the groundbreaking ceremony. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone in 2019 and last year, the work to erect the wall around the land had begun. After which, no progress has happened and Madurai is still far away from unveiling the hospital.

As the construction didn't go to the next phase, it had stirred outrage among the people across the state with hundreds and thousands of people flaying the state and Central governments for their flawed governance. When Tamil Nadu had neared the polls, it was strongly speculated the issue of AIIMS Madurai would be on the cards. As expected, the opposition party particularly DMK had taken up the issue to display the failures of both the ruling regimes.

Recently, Udhayanidhi Stalin had campaigned in Tuticorin and to everyone's surprise, he said that he had brought AIIMS Hospital Madurai in hand. He then lifted a brick in his hand and said that this is the AIIMS Hospital built by the government. He said to the voters, "The BJP-ADMK governments had built AIIMS Hospital in Madurai three years ago. Do you remember? I have brought that in my hand". He then showed a brick and said to the voters that this is the AIIMS built by the government. His speech has gone viral across the state as many people had viewed and shared it on social media.

As his campaign had shocked the BJP, it has now launched a counter-attack against Udhayanidhi Stalin as a BJP member in Tamil Nadu had now filed a police complaint against the DMK leader. According to reports, BJP member Needhipandian had filed a complaint in Kovilpatti police station in which he had said that Udhayanidhi Stalin had heisted the brick from the premises of AIIMS Madurai.

The BJP member has said that Udhayanidhi had theft the brick from AIIMS premises. He further stated that the DMK leader had confessed the truth that he had theft the brick during the campaign and he has even shown that brick to everyone. Udhayanidhi's action is a punishable crime under section 380- theft of the Indian Penal Code. The BJP member had urged the police to take criminal action against Udhayanidhi Stalin for heisting the brick from AIIMS Madurai.
