Tamil Nadu has become the seventh state to oppose the farm laws and pass a resolution of pressing the Union government to repeal them.

The former Chief Minister had opposed a further investigation into the Kodanad case and he had accused the DMK government of attempting to trap him in the case. 

Similarly, former ADMK Minister Rajendra Balaji had commended the government and said that Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan has been performing well. 

The apparent compliment had shocked Edappadi Palaniswami as Thiagarajan has attacked the ADMK regime for the state's poor financial condition.

Though his arrest was temporary as he has got bail after eight hours, Rane has permanently got placed in the nation's history by becoming the first Union Minister to get arrested in twenty years.
