Giving major shock to Tamil Nadu Opposition leader Edappadi Palaniswami and the rest of his ADMK peers, PMK leader GK Mani has immensely praised Chief Minister MK Stalin in the assembly for fulfilling a promise demanded by the party. The PMK has been a part of the ADMK alliance in the recently-held assembly polls and an open commendation from the PMK leader has become the talk of the town.
According to our sources, PMK leader GK Mani, who has been elected to the assembly from the Pennagaram constituency, has praised Chief Minister MK Stalin in the assembly on Wednesday for fulfilling the party's promise of implementing a 10.5% reservation quota for the Vanniyar community, which is the major vote bank for the PMK. While speaking at the assembly during the debate on the revised budget, GK Mani said that the party has demanded the Chief Minister to implement the 10.5% quota for the Vanniyar community in education and employment.
Mani said that the Chief Minister told him that he will announce a good decision after discussing with the legal experts and he had implemented the reservation quota as he has promised. The PMK leader has thanked the Chief Minister for fulfilling the promise and said that it's proud for Tamil Nadu that MK Stalin is doing better than any other Chief Ministers in India. MK Stalin was ranked as the best Chief Minister in India in containing the Covid-19 pandemic and reducing the fatalities caused by the disease.
GK Mani said the Chief Minister, ministers, Chief Secretary, and medical staff had done a great job in containing the pandemic and the PMK leader had extended his greetings to them. His compliment to the DMK government has shocked the ADMK party as our sources say that the ADMK and BJP leaders had begun discussing whether the PMK is going in favour of DMK. Mani's statement had stunned Edappadi Palaniswami as a leader from his own alliance is supporting his rival at the high time when the former Chief Minister is working to strengthen the opposition for the upcoming local body polls. It must be noted that Edappadi Palaniswami was the one who introduced the 10.5% reservation quota for the Vanniyar community when he was serving as the Chief Minister.
