The news of Meera’s death has come as a shock to the film industry and Vijay Antony's fans, who have been expressing their condolences and sympathy on social media.

He is married to Fathima Vijay Antony, who is also a film producer. They have two daughters, Meera and Lara. 

The actor, who was also a director and producer, suffered a cardiac arrest while dubbing for the popular serial Ethir Neechal. He was 52 years old.
