Special treat from Vaigai Puyal...Watch the first single from 'Naai Sekar Returns' as Vadivelu is back in style!

Following a five-year hiatus, legendary comedian 'Vaigai Puyal' Vadivelu is scripting a comeback through the movie 'Naai Sekar Returns', which is being directed by Suraj. Vadivelu plays the lead role in the movie, which is a spin-off of his character 'Naai Sekar' from the 2006 movie 'Thalai Nagaram' which was also helmed by Suraj. The movie's makers unveiled the first single of Naai Sekar Returns, Appatha, as a surprise drop on Monday. 

The first single comes as a surprise to many as the song features the vocal from Vadivelu and it is choreographed by Prabhu Deva. Lastly, Vadivelu gave vocal for the song 'Kannameya' in the 2015 movie 'Eli'. Naai Sekar Returns is bankrolled by Lyca Productions and on Monday, the production house took to Twitter and shared a surprise announcement that the first single comes in a full video version.

Lyca Productions wrote, "Surprise. Why restrict with just lyric video when we can treat our fans with full video song. Vaigai Puyal Vadivelu in Prabhu Deva choreography. The combo which entertained us over the years is back with Appatha." The song has been garnering a massive reception and within one hour into release, it has gained close to two lakhs views on YouTube. 

Earlier, announcing the release of the first single, the production company released a brand-new poster, which features the actor attired in a cool and stylish way, and sells a chilling and jazzy soundscape that will enhance the actor's vocals. While Vadivelu plays the lead role in the movie, Sivaangi Krishnakumar, Redin Kingsley, Shivani Narayanan, Anandraj, Munishkanth, and Lollu Sabha Seshu will play key roles.  

Santhosh Narayanan composed the music and Vignesh Vasu handles the cinematography and Selva R K took charge of the editing. As fans enjoyed and embraced Vadivelu's top comedic films, including Imsai Arasan 23m Pulikesi, Tenaliraman, and Eli, his upcoming Naai Sekar Returns sparked intense anticipation among fans. In the upcoming pipeline, Vadivelu has Vasu's Chandramukhi 2 with Raghava Lawrence and Udhayanidhi Stalin's "Maamannan," which is directed by Mari Selvaraj.
