Finally, Lokesh Kanagaraj has spoken the golden words on the official announcement of the most anticipated project, Thalapathy67. As the only update that has been on the fans' wish list, they gone giddy with this anticipating update.  At the Michael film premiere, the director shared the exact dates where the official announcement of Thalapathy67 will be made and he also talked about few updates on his upcoming film.

Speaking at a promotion event in PSG Coimbatore for actor Sundeep Kishan's upcoming 'Michael', director Lokesh Kanagaraj said, "A lot of responsibilities on this film and that's why didn't talk much about the film for so long. It won't be good If I come to my college and go without giving an update. So I will just give a hint, remember that alone. February 1st, 2nd and 3rd."

The video of this happy update is going viral and on another video where Sundeep Kishan shared interesting detail about his first debut with Lokesh Kanagaraj, he said that  for Maanagaram project, he took Loksesh to 6 producers all of who refused to back the project. The film Michael is presented by Lokesh Kanagaraj which directed by Ranjit Jeyakodi.

Meanwhile production on "Thalapathy 67" reportedly began with a Muhurtha ceremony in December 2022, though stills from the ceremony have not been made public. The cast of "Thalapathy 67" includes the talents of Vijay, Trisha, Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Mansoor Ali Khan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Mysskin. Aniruth will be compose the musical score and Seven Screen Studios will be bankrolling the project.
