Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is just four films old, is now in production on his next film, Leo of Lokesh Cinematic Universe, which is set for an Ayudha Pooja special release on October 19, this year. The film's multi-star ensemble, which includes a return appearance by Trisha, as well as Vijay's second collaboration with the director after Master, have drawn a lot of attention.
Now it has been reported that Vijay's highly anticipated film Leo has made a total of Rs 246 crore from digital rights, satellite rights, and music rights. The production of the film presumably cost around Rs 250 crore, and it has already made an astounding Rs 246 crore at the box office. The movie made Rs 150 crore from its digital rights, Rs 80 crore from its satellite rights, and Rs 16 crore from its music rights. Sun Tv bought the satellite rights and Netflix has bought the digital streaming rights.
The latest murmurings on the town also claims that the director and his team have already written a rough film script for Kaithi 2, and they intend to begin pre-production on the film immediately following the premiere of Thalapathy Vijay's movie. The director hopes that the final film in the LCU series will reunite series regulars like Kamal Haasan, Thalapathy Vijay, Suriya, and Karthi.
The title teaser which unveiled last week became the sensation and its to cross 40 million views. Anirudh is in the charge of composing the music for this project, which will be produced by 7 Screen Studios while Ratnakumar will be writing the screenplay along with the director. Sanjay Dutt, who already proved his powerful villainous performance in KGF and Shamshera, will be part of this villainous league and through Thalapathy 67, Dutt will be making his debut in Tamil. Trisha, Priya Anand, Arjun, Mansoor Ali Khan, Gowtham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Manobala also plays pivotal roles.
