Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film ‘Leo’, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is creating a lot of buzz among the fans and the film industry. The film, which is slated to release on October 19, is expected to be a massive gangster drama with Vijay playing a never seen before gangster. The film also boasts of a stellar star cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Priya Anand and others.
But what makes ‘Leo’ even more special is the fact that it is the first Indian film to make use of a Komodo-X camera, a high-end action camera from Red Digital Cinema. The camera, which was launched in May this year, offers stunning features such as high frame rates, dynamic range, improved detail and color in shadows. The camera costs around rupees 7 lakhs and is ideal for capturing fast-paced action sequences.
The cinematographer of ‘Leo’, Manoj Paramahamsa, who has previously worked with Vijay in ‘Nanban’ and ‘Beast’, has shared a video of the stunt duo Anbariv unboxing the Komodo-X camera on his Instagram account.
He wrote, “The most wanted action camera unboxed by the most wanted stunt duo @anbariv_action_director - Komodo -x just can’t wait to see the action unfolds with this little beast”. The video has gone viral among the fans who are eagerly waiting to see Vijay’s action scenes shot with this camera.
‘Leo’ is produced by Lalit Kumar under his banner Seven Screen Studios and has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The first single track from the film, ‘Naa Ready’, is set to release on June 22 on the occasion of Vijay’s birthday. The lyrics for the song are said to be penned by Vishnu Edavan and the singer’s name is yet to be revealed by the makers.
Meanwhile in a shocking revelation, Lokesh Kanagaraj recently announced that he will hang up his boots after directing ten films in his own Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). The ace filmmaker, who has delivered back-to-back hits like Kaithi and Master, has some big projects lined up with the top stars of Kollywood. He is all set to join hands with Superstar Rajinikanth for Thalaivar 171, reunite with Karthi for Kaithi 2, collaborate with Kamal Hassan for Vikram 3, and reportedly team up with Suriya for Irumbukai Maayavi.
